Job purpose
Responsible for managing, developing and maintaining all assigned Periods of Instruction (POIs) in accordance with the Marine Corps Instructional System Design / Systems Approach to Training and Education (MCISD/SATE) Handbook and the C2TECOE Academics SOP. The Course Manager reports to and receives work direction from the Program Manager in coordination with government technical lead.
Duties and responsibilities
- Execute all phases of the SAT-E process
- Input, Update, Maintain draft POI information on the C2TECOE SharePoint Site
- Input, Update, Maintain final POI information in MCTIMS
- Develop the Assigned POI(s)
- Maintain the Assigned POI(s)
- Design, Develop and Maintain Master Lesson Files for each POI
- Participate in Course Content Review Boards
- Attend weekly Curriculum Section Head Meetings
- Maintain Liaison with MISTC Academics Managers
- Maintain Liaison with MISTC Instructors
- Collect Data from MISTC Academic Managers such as IRFs, ERFs, AIRs, ECCs
Qualifications
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Proficient in computer applications such as Windows and MS Office
- Recent user level experience utilizing Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS)
- Recent experience working within a Battalion or Regimental Operations Section is preferred
- Excellent Organizational, Planning, and Prioritization Skills in Support of Rapidly Changing Scheduling and Staffing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
- Minimum of a High School Diploma—Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Graduate of the Formal School Instructor Course/Basic Instructor Course is preferred
- Graduate of the Curriculum Developer Course / Design Learning Experience Course (DLEX)
- Graduate of the Formal School Manager Course is preferred
Years of Relative Work Experience
- 3 years related work experience
